The new video for Antlers ‘Kettering’ is desolate and gorgeous and sad.
And all the videos were taken from Dan Sully’s (Who’s that, you ask. Thats a good question. Answer - I don’t know)
If you’re like me and you love astronomy and Carl Sagan and ironic auto-tuning, this is for you.
Auto-Tune the Science, Take 3: Carl Sagan’s Cosmos, Richard Dawkins’ Genius of Charles Darwin series, Dawkins’ TED Talk, Stephen Hawking’s Universe series, and Michio Kaku’s interview on physics and aliens get mashed up and auto-tuned in the latest “Symphony of Science” opus, “Our Place in the Cosmos.”

Earlier: “A Glorious Dawn”; “We Are All Connected.”
I think I would have liked to live in a different era.
One with less Glenn Beck and more goat drinking.

Jimmy Fallon does Neil Young doing Will Smith.
Wait, that didn’t come out right.

WHAT I KNOW: Not a lot. That people who are a lot like me except older love Pavement. And that’s pretty much it.
WHAT I EXPECT: I expect it to be good. I guess. Like I said, I really don’t know what I’m about to listen to. They are supposedly influential in a good way. I feel like I should like it, but I want to be objective here (kinda).
SUMMARY: Meh. There were moment where I was really digging the album. ‘Range Life’ is right up my ally. And there really were 2 or 3 other songs that were solid. Unfortunately, the mood of the album was just too, I don’t know, mind-numbingly self-aware, apathetic and lame. Songs like ‘Hit the Plane Down’ where nothing interesting happens instrumentally and he repeats ‘Plane Down. No survivors,” ad infinitum, which struck me as more than a little um… boring, were more frequent than I could enjoy. It made it hard to get into for more than brief periods of time. I don’t know, maybe I’m a Philistine.
TOP SONG: Range Life
RATING: 2 out of 5 high-fives. Unenthusiastic, half-ironic high-fives, where neither person has any fun and both are all-too-aware that high-fives are stupid anyway.
Next album: Nas ‘Illmatic’, which should be either awesome or absurd.

Short answer, the XBOX ate it.
